Info Update,British lmuwan create a tool that can detect an asthma attack. Tool developed by Asthma UK and electronics company Siemens was to detect an asthma attack, by measuring levels of nitrogen monoxide (NO) in breath sufferers.
Cell phone-sized appliance that can even predict the arrival time of an asthma attack, so that sufferers can anticipate the attack. In addition, the tool can also be a reference for health practitioners to provide appropriate doses of anti-inflammatory drug.
"We know that the level of NO represents one's lung condition. But the creators are still not sure whether this means the right to be a reference for decision-treatment step. That is why further research is now being conducted before the tool is launched," said Elaine Vickers, Research Relations Manager of Asthma UK.
